Summer English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program
We hope you are all enjoying your summer! Please keep an eye on this WordPress for upcoming VISAS volunteers and ESL international participants’ applications. They should be released after the beginning of this fall semester.
If you are still missing your certificate of completion, please contact our Technology Resource Coordinator at amk5an@virginia.edu. Thank you for your patience!
One of our interns has spent time as a teacher assistant for CAELC’s EAP program — she has met some international participants who have been involved with the VISAS program in the past! If you are an international visiting scholar or graduate student who will be here next summer, we encourage you to consider applying for this program.

If you have met all of your coordinator’s requirements,
please expect to receive your certificates of completion by Monday, May 18th, 2015.
We apologize for the delay but each certificate has a customized name and they will take some time to be sent out to all recipients. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter! If you have any questions or concerns regarding this or if you would like to rush your certificate in order to have it immediately available, please contact our Technology Resource Coordinator Alice Katindig at amk5an@virginia.edu. Have a great summer! We’re looking forward to seeing you all again next semester!

Garden lower V
Hi all,
Sadly, we are approaching the completion of the semester and the end of our program. Thank you for participating and we really hoped that we have met your needs as much as possible.
We would like to personally invite you to our last VISAS’s event this semester. Our annual Garden Party is from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 29th in Garden Lower V behind the left pavilion rooms (when facing the Rotunda). Come by for this informal gathering where we will demonstrate appreciation to both our volunteers and learners as well as introduce our new interns of next year.
This is one of the best opportunities to interact with other participants in VISAS and our intern team.
Catering and refreshments will be available.
Please RSVP before attending. We encourage you to write a short appreciation note to the volunteer(s) you have worked with this semester. This can be shared during the Garden Party if you indicate so in your response.
