Volunteers
VISAS connects UVA students with English learners for conversation, cultural exchange, and community building. Volunteers support small groups, partner with learners, or assist in programs across Grounds.
Flexible roles are available across seven programs, and no teaching experience is required. Build cross-cultural relationships while gaining global experience at UVA.
English Learners
Practice English in a welcoming, supportive environment. VISAS offers conversation groups, partner programs, and resources for learners at all levels.
Opportunities are available for group and one-on-one conversation. Programs offer flexible scheduling and a chance to connect with the UVA community.
